BEST (Business Employability Skills Training) a new career readiness and entrepreneurship project part of Futuremakers by Standard Chartered, the Bank’s global initiative to tackle inequality by promoting economic inclusion for disadvantaged people across our markets.  The project will be delivered by Youth Business Poland (YBP) and Youth Business International (YBI) in cooperation with Ukrainian House funded by Standard Chartered Bank. 

Youth Business Poland mission is to develop entrepreneurship in Poland and provide comprehensive training and mentoring to novice entrepreneurs so that they can fully develop their potential, build stable companies and create new jobs. 

Our partner Ukrainian House's main goal is to facilitate integration and support for the Ukrainian community in Warsaw and beyond. Currently, as a crisis point, it effectively supports, coordinates and directly helps refugees from Ukraine .

Thanks to the involvement and support of business partners, the program will help Ukrainian business in the development and in establishing cooperation with partners, obtaining capital and investment support for development. Moreover to facilitate the integration of Ukrainians into the labour market of Poland.

How do we help?

In our foundation we have access to mentors and experts, career and business advisers, recruiters, psychologists but also people who simply want to support others, offer their time, knowledge and contacts for project participants. All our experts, as part of unpaid volunteering, provide professional consultations and advice to refugees. Our help is completely free of charge. 

As part of BEST project we created and offer also:

  • SOS Mentoring who those who need and want to receive comprehensive support, mental support, motivation and tools for action (finding a job or run a business)
  • Advisory at stationary consultation points of the Ukrainian House in Warsaw and on-line /telephone
  • A series of Networking meetings for people interested to open and run a business. The purpose of the meetings is to integrate the Polish and Ukrainian business community and enable establishing business cooperation 
  • A series of webinars on looking for a job in various industries and a cycle on running a company in Poland
  • Database of knowledge and job offers
